London based organisation Hospital Rooms seek to transform bleak and uninspiring hospital spaces by inviting acclaimed artists to work with patients and staff to create unique site-specific artworks. Currently on display at East Gallery, Norwich University of the Arts, Hospital Rooms: Northside House is an exhibition presenting 6 such commissions recently undertaken at the secure forensic mental health unit, Northside House, in Norwich.
Hospital Rooms’ Head of Research, Phoebe Eustance, and two artists involved in the Norwich project, Cara Nahaul and Carl Rowe, will discuss their practice and will have an open conversation about transforming spaces for wellbeing and recovery. East Gallery NUA Hospital Rooms: Northside House, will close on Saturday 15 January. The exhibition is free and can be booked online.
